While with Sasaki Associates, Chris Sgarzi was the architect and project manager for the Mueller Fitness Center at Rensselaer, completed as an addition to the traditional armory building in 2000. The project was the first leg of the RPI sport master plan implementation.

The new center provides a bright and open fitness center with an abundance of daylight. It has become the starting point of campus tours for prospective students and their families.
