While with Sasaki Associates, Chris Sgarzi was the project architect and project manager for the new Fitness and Aquatic Center that opened at Loyola in 2000.

The 115,000sf facility includes a fitness center, gymnasium, jogging track, climbing wall, squash and racquetball courts and a 16,000sf natatorium, which includes a spectator balcony with 500 seats to serve the needs of the College's Division I swimming and diving teams.

The facility's remote location presented a challenge in satisfying the upscale neighborhood as well as attracting students from the core campus.
