LANDMARK SCHOOL | Beverly, MA

Sgarzi Associates was brought on to assist the Landmark School in developing an efficient and cost effective program and design for a new 25,000sf athletics and activity center for the school’s campus in the Prides Crossing section of Beverly, MA. The Center will provide the school and its students with new opportunities for activities and an exciting venue for their sports programs.

The Center will house a basketball gymnasium, fitness center and a wrestling room as well as various support spaces: locker rooms, sport medicine facility, equipment room, coaches’ offices and a multi-purpose meeting room. The design includes an option for solar energy as a source for electricity and hot water for the facility.

The design consists of a pre-engineered building to house the gym and fitness spaces wrapped by a traditional structure that contains the locker rooms and support spaces. The main entrance is designed to create a barn-type feel and help the project blend in seamlessly on the campus and in its picturesque neighborhood. The project is expected to be complete in 2010.
