While with Genesis Planners, Chris Sgarzi was the project manager responsible for the planning and preliminary design of a new field house on a satellite campus of Clark University. The project delivery method of design-build was utilized, and included architect Chan Krieger and builder Delphi Construction.

The facility was designed to make best use of a site constrained by a steep hill and urban roadways, and to accommodate multiple outdoor-type sports for indoor practice. The finishes and construction materials were selected for their durability and cost effectiveness, and effectively-controlled daylight was a critical element in the quality and lighting of the interior space.
