WELLESLEY COLLEGE | Wellesley, MA

While with Genesis Planners, Chris Sgarzi was the project manager for the development of Alumnae Valley at Wellesley College. The projects included a new campus center, new parking garage and police headquarters, new trade shops building and newly-landscaped valley with access to the nearby pond.

Chris' responsibilities included management of the project budget and the design team, and coordination among the projects and campus constituents. He was involved in the building programming and meetings with Trustees, students and administration, and assisted on design reviews and conceptual planning.

The Wang Campus Center, designed by architects Mack Scoggin Merrill Elam, was awarded the 2006 Harleston Medal by the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), which annually recognizes the most beautiful piece of architecture built within the past 10 years in the greater Boston area.
